Top Ten DIY Inspirations of the Week

I thought I would share some inspiring and EXPENSIVE things I love. I think I might have to try my hand at doing them myself before forking out all that cash….Hope you enjoy :-)

Inpiration Board

{{1}} Love these Anthropologie Mason Jar Sippers, but this is a no brainer, totally have to do this for summer parties. Do you have a favorite summer drink?? Would love for you to share your recipe here!!

{{2}} I am brainstorming ideas for a “Grand Central Station” area for the side of my fridge. It’s the first thing you see when you walk in the kitchen, so I want it sleek and clean. This looks fabulous and is a great inspiration for a project I could completely do myself. Just need to pick up some old frames, chalkboard paint and cork :-)

{{3}} I love these PB Teen Baskets!! Any basket spray painted white will do…Just add a cute, creative label. I happen to be in love with this label right now. I love the white, but this would also be great in fun colors too!!

{{4}} This Driftwood Mirror could essentially be FREE!! Check out my friend Celeste’s Version. I actually love hers so much better and I know it didn’t cost $1000!!

{{5}} I have a lampshade similar to this base color that I got at Cost Plus for a great deal. I have been dreaming of ways I can dress it up. I am thinking Burlap and White Felt Flowers…what do you think?

{{6}} How easy would it be to stain any table top, chest, dresser, etc. using Frog Tape to create a pattern. I am in love with anything Chevron right now. Will have to think of a way I can use this idea in my home. I love the contrast in this piece.

{{7}} Wrapping any lamp with jute and a little super glue would be a quick and easy DIY project. I have seen so many lamps at thrift stores just crying for a makeover like this one!!

{{8}} I have handmade trivets made just like these coasters (Thanks to my uncle!!) I love these and they would be the perfect,  fun, summer time outdoor accessory to my half wine barrel side table!

{{9}} I love this beautiful guitar! But I don’t play and this one cost’s $3600…but can you imagine Modge Podging some cute fabric onto a kiddie guitar or a Ukelele?? This would be a great piece of art for the wall and a DIY version would be much more affordable!!

{{10}} If anyone can tell me how to cut a railroad tie to size, I will make you a knock off version of this RH chair!! I saw the RR ties at Urban Ore in Berkeley, but have no idea how to cut through a piece of wood like this. Restoration Hardware has an entire set based on this design, but just like everything else RH…it’s out of my price range. Yet it is another great piece of furniture to dream about!
