I think whether we want to admit it or not, Fall is officially here. I don’t know about you, but it makes me excited, I love fall. I love when the weather finally cools down. It makes me think about football, which for me means entertaining. Also Halloween is just around the bend, so it’s time to start planning costumes, parties and decorating. This year, as I try to ease into fall, I’m starting with my top 12 Non-Traditional Pumpkin Decorating Ideas. I hope you enjoy, these are not your average pumpkins!!

When I saw these pumpkins over at Homemade Simple, I fell in love!! I love how simple they are, yet they make such a statement. I think these would be fabulous as a Dining Room Table Centerpiece!

Head on over the The 36th Avenue for a super cute chalkboard pumpkin idea. These would also be great for little ones if you pre-spray them and let them go crazy with chalk. Can you imagine…you could decorate pumpkins every day!! I think this is also a great idea for teaching kids various parts of the face and/or different emotions. For some reason I am so drawn to the black and white!! Can you say animal print? I think I would attempt this with white spray paint and a sharpie marker. The possibilities are endless. Country Living got this one right!

And finally, I could not do a feature on your not so average pumpkin without showing you my favorite glittered pumpkin! Google “glittered pumpkin” and you will find hundreds of ideas. But, I have to say, Marigold Mom takes the cake with these beautiful pumpkins. I love the black and silver glitter and I love the idea of using glitter as a design instead of covering the entire pumpkin. Again, I am drawn to the black and white!
