I absolutely love shopping at thrift stores. It is where you find the greatest treasures!! The thing is thrift stores are becoming hit or miss for me. I walk into some and find that everything is priced at a level you’d think it was ALREADY REPURPOSED! Or, you find that it’s mostly clothing or things you just aren’t looking for.
I have a few favorites near my home that I stop into about once a week. I usually am able to find one or two small things, but sometimes I walk away empty handed. I try out new thrift and antique stores often, but again, hit or miss.
Well today, while on vacation, I hit the jackpot. I had a couple hours this afternoon to myself and decided to run into a thrift store near where we are staying. It was like the stars were aligned and my creative juices were flowing.
Take a look at my treasures…or trash, depending on how you look at things 😉
I got a chalkboard cheese tray, a glossy white (or is it aqua) lamp, bright red Christmas lanterns for my front porch, a lacquered white owl plaque for my gallery wall, a jute wrapped vase….can you see it??
Better yet, the lamp cost me $8.50 and nothing else was more expensive than $3.50.
Now that’s what I call a thrift store!!!
I can’t wait to start showing you some of my after photos of these thrift store treasures. Stop by Friday, you’ll see that lamp in my Weekend Knockoff
