I was looking back through some of my posts. June was a busy month!! I kicked off the month with my Pallet Herb Garden. This was not an easy project in the end, because of a few hiccups along the way, but if you follow my tips, it would be an easy project for you. It is soooo worth it. I have started using my herbs every time I cook.
So the only thing that could possibly make you sad while you are on vacation….Missing the Alameda County Antique Fair. It only happens one a month, and it is happening today. Unfortunate that it fell on a Holiday Weekend. So I guess I will have to wait another month. Here is a peek at what I found last month when I was there.
I tried my hand at Glass Paint, using the Martha Stewart Glass Paint I found at Joann’s.
I finished the planted chair for my garden.
My hubby got a fabulous (if I do say so myself ;-)) wooden cooler chest for Father’s Day. It has been so nice to have cold drinks at out finger tips…especially with the 100+ degree weather we have been having. I thought we would only use this for parties, but that is not the case at all. It is so easy to put a small amount of drinks/ice in it and use it on an everyday basis.
I had my first feature at Natasha In Oz. Shows you just how new I really am….but I am grateful that someone else recognized something I made as beautiful :-). My half wine barrel side table was featured on her Say G’day Saturday Link Party.
I repurposed a tired old planter with spray paint.
I got in the holiday spirit with this Painted American Flag that I hung on my front door.
I actually completed a couple things from my first week…one being this driftwood candle holder.
Another first for me…my first giveaway. It was very fun, thanks again to all that entered. The map coasters were the winners!! There are so many cute things you can diy with coasters.
I got my feet wet for the first time with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I love this paint and my end table turned out so great. It’s holding up to the beatings of my 2 year old…and that says a lot. Now I am on the lookout for more furniture to repurpose.
I hope that you keep coming back for more!! I am having so much fun sharing these projects with you. As always, any feedback you have for me is greatly appreciated.
